Since last year, we came across multiple forwarded messages and social media links on how to boost immunity and how to prevent Covid severities. While some remained authentic, others were misleading and had no legitimate sources. PIB fact check recently took to their official Twitter handle to bust one such news regarding AYUSH Ministry-prescribed kadha that was doing the rounds on social media. As per the tweet, news went viral on social media that claimed AYUSH kadha could cure Covid-19 in just three days. “This news is misleading. AYUSH Ministry has prescribed this kadha just to strengthen immunity,” the tweet in Hindi further read. Take a look:

According to the AYUSH Ministry guideline on ‘Ayurveda’s immunity-boosting measures for self-care during Covid-19 crisis’, a herbal tea/kadha made with Tulsi (basil), dalchini (cinnamon), kalimirch (black pepper), sunthi (dry ginger) and munakka (raisin) may help promote immunity. The guideline further explains that one may add jaggery or fresh lime juice to the kadha to enhance its taste.

Here’s The Recipe Of Ayush Kwath/Kadha To Boost Immunity:
