To most of us, nimbu pani works as the ultimate thirst quencher during summers. Tangy lemon juice, blended with iced water, black salt and sugar (or sugar alternatives) – this ‘desi’ drink has all our hearts. The best part is that it literally takes a minute to prepare nimbu pani. And if you thought it is just another summer cooler that helps us combat the heat, then you are yet to be introduced to its amazing health benefits. Thanks to lemon, this drink is a storehouse of vitamin C, antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties that help you detox and boost metabolism. These factors further help keep up a balance in our body, nourish us from within and promote immune health.

Nimbu pani also gives us enough room for experimentation. Besides lemon juice, salt and sweetener, we love throwing in mint leaves, sabja seeds, roasted jeera et al to the drink. It seems like celebrity fitness trainer Yasmin Karachiwala too likes her nimbu pani with a twist.

Yasmin recently took to her Instagram to share her nimbu pani recipe and wrote alongside, “My secret Nimboo Pani recipe REVEALED!!!!” She added, “Need something refreshing to drink?Your summer drink of choice just got an upgrade!” Let’s take a look at the recipe:
