Uddhav Roars in Maha Assembly, Says ‘Don’t Care Being Called Villain, Won’t Mind Putting People Behind Bars’

Saying that he doesn’t care if someone calls him a villian, Maharashtra chief minister Uddhav Thackeray on Wednesday gave a thumbs down to lockdown amid rising Covid-19 cases in the state. He said that he doesn’t want livelihood of poor to take a toll.

“We have beefed up health services. I don’t care if someone terms me a villian, I will take responsibility of the people of my state,” he said pointing at BJP.

Further attacking the Bharatiya Janata Party, he said, “I won’t put lives of my people at risk. Lives of my people are dearer to me than your petty politics. I won’t mind jailing those who play with people’s lives.”

On demands of separate Vidarbha state, the CM said, “I won’t allow it. You can’t cut it from me. It is my maternal grandmother’s place.”
