Banana bread is one dish which countless bakers across the globe tried their hands at. Google’s Year In Search report for 2020 revealed that Banana Bread was the 7th most trending recipes globally. It became difficult to obtain exquisite ingredients during the lockdown period, which is why simple recipes with ingredients such as banana bread went viral. Social media was flooded with pictures and video tutorials of the easy yet delicious bread. The Banana bread recipe required some of the simplest ingredients such as flour, sugar, and eggs and also was an easy way to use overripe bananas in the kitchen. The picture featured a whole bread loaf with full bananas protruding from it, thus taking the term ‘banana bread’ quite literally. “Made banana bread for the first time.
