A school’s creative drive for a noble cause made it hugely popular across the globe. The students of the school came up with a fun exercise to draw attention to the donation drive, and it riveted more than just people’s attention. The video of the drive went viral. Watervliet Public School, Michigan staged a domino run with a massive number of cereal boxes and posted the video of its successful completion on its official Facebook page.

The school posted the video with the caption: “Here is a video of the entire run of cereal box dominos falling at South School today.  600+ boxes of donated cereal dominos makes for a pretty impressive run!  Local food pantries will receive the boxes of cereal following this activity.” The post received 172k likes, 9k comments and 98k shares at the time of writing the story.

The school started the initiative about a week prior to collect cereal boxes for the donation. They had put up a post earlier thanking the donors. “Recently Watervliet South Elementary asked you to donate boxes of food for a student “domino” activity to learn about chain reactions, cause and effect, and sequencing.  The boxes of cereal will be donated to local food pantries to help feed our hungry friends and neighbours.  Well, you came through in a BIG way!  Over 600 boxes of cereal were collected.  Here are some photos from today’s activity.”
