An earthquake of magnitude 4.1 was reported near Tezpur in Assam this afternoon, according to India’s National Center for Seismology.
The epicentre of the earthquake was 40 km west of Tezpur, Assam, the agency said. The earthquake struck at 2:23 PM at a depth of 16 km from the surface.
