BJP leader Ram Madhav has been called back to the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh from the saffron party. He has been given a place in the All India Executive Wing of RSS.
Madhav had been General Secretary in the BJP under the leadership of Amit Shah, and had played a crucial role in handling matters in Jammu and Kashmir. Now he is set to return to the Sangh.
Meanwhile, Karnataka-born Dattatreya Hosabale was on Saturday elected as the ‘Sarkaryawah’ (General Secretary) of the RSS. He was until now the Sah-Sarakaryavah (Joint General Secretary) of the Sangh.
Sunil Ambekar has been made the head of All India Publicity. Alok has been made the All India Co-Head of Publicity. Ramlal has been made the All India Liaison Head.
Madhav had in February this year launched a new book ‘Because India Comes First’. At its launch, the leader raised the issues of social media monitoring, ‘outside forces’ in India, and Kashmir. “Social media has become so powerful that it can even topple governments, leading to anarchy and weakening democracy, and solutions to tackle this are needed to be found within the constitutional framework,” he had said.
Madhav had said democracy was stressed and facing new challenges with the rise of “non-political” and “non-state” forces.
On Kashmir, he had said that with the abrogation of Article 370, grassroot leaders were coming up against the hegemony of a few families. He had added that it was the responsibility of the people of the country to make Kashmiris feel that they are part of the 1.3-billion-strong family.
