Papad Ka Paratha Recipe: Try This Unique Paratha From Delhis Popular Parathe Wali Gali
The buzzing streets of Old Delhi are every traveler’s delight. ‘Paranthe wali gali, in the by-lane of Chandni Chowk, is one of the most popular areas for a gastronomical experience. As the name suggests, it is a place filled with numerous old restaurants selling parathas or fried breads. These Indian breads are strictly vegetarian and most of them avoid usage of onions and garlics too. However, each paratha has a unique taste, aroma and characteristic. Unlike a quintessential Punjabi paratha – that is stuffed and roasted on tawa – here the parathas are deep fried, and usually served with aloo ki sabzi and imli chutney.

How To Make Papad Ka Paratha | Papad Ka Paratha Recipe:
To begin with the recipe, all you need to do is knead soft dough with wheat flour (atta) and keep it aside. Roast a few papads and crush them properly in a bowl. Take some sev or bhujia, crush and mix with crushed papad. Add coriander leaves, chopped spring onions and some red chilli powder. Now, stuff the dough with the papad mixture, roll a paratha and deep fry. Serve it hot with aloo ki sabzi or any chutney of your choice.
Please Note :
- If your papad is already filled with spices, then skip using other masalas. Excess masala may ruin the flavours of the paratha.
- You can also dry roast the parathas on tawa, instead of deep frying, to avoid excess oil consumption.
