Maruti Suzuki reported its monthly auto sales on Thursday, April 1, and posted total sales of 1.67 lakh units, up almost 99 per cent compared to 83,792 units in the corresponding month last year. In a statement, the carmaker stated that the domestic sales in financial year 2019-20 declined 18 per cent and sales in fiscal 2020-21 were impacted due to COVID-19. Maruti Suzuki’s total sales, including domestic and export, dropped 6.7 per cent in financial year 2020-21, compared to the earlier fiscal of 2019-20.
