In the sarcastic post, she narrated how it had been a year since the authorities began to rip up their street, and now, a year later, the street is impassable. “Just last week, we had a massive, 6-foot-deep hole,” exclaimed Natalie in her post. She further wrote that she baked a special cake depicting the street scene in cake form, with two layers of chocolate sponge and peanut butter frosting. The epic cake also featured details such as traffic cones, angry-looking construction workers, mechanical diggers, and a ‘Road closed’ sign.

The hilarious yet relatable post struck a chord with Facebook users. This problem of delayed constructions was uncannily familiar to users from all across the world. “This is brilliant!! Thanks for the laugh, and quality job on that cake,” wrote one user while another said, “A committee will have to be formed to investigate the delays first….” One Facebook user also pointed out, “The best part of this cake is the depiction of 1 man working while the others stand around and watch.
