What to Expect from Last Budget of Yogi Govt?

The Bharatiya Janata Party government led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will present the last full budget of this term on Monday before it gets into election mode.

The budget comes just ahead of the assembly elections, which are scheduled to be held after almost 10 months. Apart from a free coronavirus vaccine, migrant workers, farmers, women and youth are expected to get special gifts in Budget 2021. However, compensating for the economic loss due to the pandemic is also a big challenge for the government.

According to experts, in the first paperless budget, the Yogi government can announce a free vaccine for the people of the state. The government can make a provision in the budget for this. Apart from this, a free tablet or laptop can also be announced for students. Along with women empowerment, there may be a provision in the budget for evening aarti in villages along the Ganges River.

In the fifth and the last budget of the Yogi government, the government may announce for a pension of Rs 6,000 for divorced and abandoned women. There was no money arrangement for this in the last budget. Along with this, announcement of giving benefits of accident and health insurance to one crore workers of unorganised sector is also possible in the budget. Looking at the farmer movement, the government can make some big announcements in this last budget too. Also, the government may announce a large amount of budget for the betterment of the Mandis.

Due to the coronavirus crisis, some amount of salary and allowances of MLAs was put on hold, which may be restored from the new financial year. Apart from this, the Finance Department will arrange the necessary funds for giving DA to the state employees as well.

In this budget of the Yogi government, a special focus can be seen on the development of Ayodhya, Varanasi and Mathura. Major infrastructure schemes like Shri Ram International Airport and Jewar Airport, Expressway, Metro projects, Film City can also be announced in the budget.

Finance Minister of Uttar Pradesh Suresh Khanna will present the budget for the financial year 2021-22 in the UP Assembly on Monday. This may be the largest budget in the history of UP till date. Its size can be between 5.25 lakh crore to 5.50 lakh crore rupees. The budget for the current financial year was brought to Rs 5,12,860 crore. In the budget, necessary funds will also be provided for the preparation of the Panchayat elections.
